A Simple Step That Creates a Lasting Legacy
One of the easiest ways to support Camp Ondessonk is also one of the most powerful: naming Camp as a beneficiary of your retirement account, life insurance policy, or other financial asset.
Beneficiary designations are simple to set up, often requiring just a short form, and can be updated at any time. They also allow you to make a meaningful gift without changing your will or impacting your finances today.
Kyle & Trish Holtgrave, Le Coeur Society Founding members, have decided to support Camp Ondessonk by naming it as a beneficiary. Kyle explained, “I felt it was a good opportunity to tithe a portion of my death benefit in a way that could have an impact in an area that is very important to me.”
This type of gift is especially impactful because retirement assets left to individuals are often subject to income tax. By directing those assets to Camp Ondessonk instead, you can reduce the tax burden on your loved ones while maximizing your charitable impact.
It’s a small step that can help ensure future generations of campers experience the same growth, friendship, and connection to nature that have defined Camp Ondessonk for decades.
