Richey selected as Assistant Director of Maintenance / Assistant Camp Ranger

Kole Richey full-time Assistant Director of Maintenance / Assistant Camp Ranger

Kole Richey is the new, full-time Assistant Director of Maintenance / Assistant Camp Ranger at Ondessonk. His duties include maintaining Camp’s facilities and property. He feels that being a good role model, establishing and maintaining good relationships, and communicating effectively with staff and volunteers are also important parts of the job.

While Kole never had the opportunity to be a camper at Ondessonk, his wife and several friends were. Originally from Marion, Ill., he and his wife moved to Ozark on Packentuck Road in 2018. They had their first baby, Merle, this year. As Kole states, “He is everything we could have ever asked for and more.”

Kole’s qualifications for the job of Assistant Director of Maintenance / Assistant Camp Ranger are strong. He explains, “My work background consists of home and residential maintenance. I’ve been doing post-frame construction building pole barns, garages, homes, loafing sheds, etc. for more than three and a half years for Newcomb Construction, a post-frame building company in Marion.”

When asked what he enjoys doing outside of work hours, he says, “I’ve always enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, riding four wheelers, and mushroom hunting with my wife. I’ve been very busy the last two years really jumping into the remodel of our home.”

Kole is very excited to work at Ondessonk – and to have a much shorter commute to work! Please join me in welcoming Kole to the Camp Family!
