We’re Hiring! Have you ever thought about working at Camp Ondessonk?

We have multiple job opportunities, including seasonal positions as Outdoor Education Instructors. OE Instructors serve as group leaders and facilitators for Camp Ondessonk’s outdoor education and afterschool programs for youth ages 6-14. Programs include:

  • Teambuilding, low and high-challenge course activities, guided interpretive hikes, outdoor living skills, boating, campfires, astronomy, and more.
  • Assisting in the facilitation of Specialty Weekends, including Mother/Daughter, Family Camp, Father/Son, etc.
  • Leading and facilitating adult learning programs such as hiking and boating.

Part-Time positions include both After School Instructor and Weekend Event and Campground Staff. As an afterschool instructor, you will facilitate a quality experience for 10-15 students from local schools. With your group, you will be responsible for group games, snacks, homework time, tutoring, camp-style activities (boating, archery, hikes, climbing wall, etc.), and monitoring group behavior. This position goes from March 20 – April 19 on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Six to eight paid positions are available, and volunteers are also welcome.  

As a Weekend Staff Member, you will be asked to work with a small team to facilitate the programming and logistics for the weekend. Staff on the weekend are expected to work from Friday night to Sunday afternoon, helping with daytime activities, nighttime campfire programs, meal logistics, and facility cleaning. Staff can apply for one or all the available weekends. 12-20 paid positions available; volunteers are also welcome. 

2023 Summer Staff applications are available December 2, 2022.
