New Additions at the Camp O Stables

By Meagan Walters- Equestrian Director

Camp O StablesBirds are chirping, grass is growing, and horses are shedding.  Spring has sprung!  When you return to Camp, you’ll see numerous additions around the stables.

New horses have been added to the herd as we have continued to improve our riding horses.  Future visitors to the barn will meet Simba, a Morgan cross pony who came last fall and is our smallest horse.  Wylie, a 17 hands-high black Friesian, is now our largest horse and came to us last November.  Other new horses in the herd include Cappy, Declan, Harley, Echo, and others.

You’ll see these horses with our herd lounging in the shade of the two new windbreak shelters in the hay pen built at Fall Round Up last September.  If fundraising goes as hoped, a new fence at the old stable corral by the parking lot is the planned project for Spring Round Up.
