Join us for Smoky Mountain Adventure Camp July 2-8, 2017!

Camp Ondessonk’s trip to the Nantahala Outdoor Center in the Smoky Mountains has become a great tradition the past several summers.  There are still plenty of spots available for this incredible adventure.  Campers and Ondessonk staff will travel in style in the Camp Mini Bus to North Carolina.  This year, we are adding more hiking and tent camping to the schedule.   We have reserved a group site at a front-country campground 10 minutes down the road from the NOC where you will cook most of your meals and camp under the stars all week.  Showers and flush toilets are available at the campground.  The first part of the week will be spent exploring the Smoky Mountains and surrounding area on day hikes, or perhaps even a 1-night backpacking loop.  The second part of the week will be spent on the NOC’s many zip lines and high adventure elements and whitewater rafting down the Nantahala River with a trained NOC guide.  There is even time to rent a mountain bike or kayak.  Evenings during the week will be spent hanging out at the campsite, exploring the grounds of the NOC, sitting by the water or around the campfire.  On Friday, drive back to Camp O in time for dinner and closing campfire.  To register for this awesome journey, CLICK HERE.  To preview the Nantahala Outdoor Center, CLICK HERE for photos of their programs and facilities.  We hope you will join us this summer for this unforgettable trip!
