Grant Provides Scholarship Support for 2026 Family Weekends
Camp Ondessonk is excited to announce new scholarship funding to help make our 2026 Family Weekends more accessible to families who wish to attend but face financial barriers. Thanks to generous funding received through the Diocese of Belleville’s Catholic Service and Ministry Appeal Fund for Ministry, Camp can offer financial assistance to families to attend family weekend experiences in 2026.
This support will be available for families interested in attending one of three specialty weekends: Father Son Weekend, Mother Daughter Weekend, or Family Camp. Families may receive partial or full financial assistance, helping ensure that cost is not an obstacle to experiencing Camp Ondessonk together.
By offering scholarship support, Camp Ondessonk can welcome families who might not otherwise be able to participate, extending our mission and sharing the Ondessonk experience with even more families. These weekends provide meaningful opportunities for faith formation, family bonding, and time spent together in God’s creation.
Family Weekends at Camp Ondessonk include:
- Two nights of lodging in one of Camp’s twelve units
- Four meals, including three on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday
- A full schedule of daytime activities such as Archery, Handicrafts, the Climbing Wall, Swimming, and Nature exploration
- A themed t-shirt for each guest
- Mass celebrated on Saturday evening
Adventure activities, including the Challenge Course and Trail Rides, are available for an additional fee for participants ages 10 and older.
Families interested in applying for scholarship support for 2026 Family Weekends can complete the online application. Camp Ondessonk is grateful for this funding opportunity and looks forward to welcoming more families to experience faith, fun, and fellowship at Camp.
