Summer Camp Scholarships

Camp Ondessonk Summer Camp Scholarships

General Scholarship Fund– General Scholarships are for families able to cover a large portion of tuition themselves.  Requests are made under the honor system.  Scholarships of $150 or $200 are awarded as funding allows.  We are faithful to the premise that families applying for scholarship funding are in need of tuition assistance for summer camp.  Please help us honor the wishes of our donors with honorable participation.

St. Kateri Scholarship Fund– Camp Ondessonk is proud to award St. Kateri Scholarship covering as much as 60% tuition to children that might not otherwise be able to attend summer camp.  Scholarship awards are based upon demonstrated financial need and availability of funds.

Monsignor John T. Fournie Scholarship Fund– The Monsignor Fournie Scholarship fund was created by Thomas R. Cromwell and Monsignor Fournie’s great-niece, Jeanne M. Newton.  Their desire to serve children in honor of one of Camp Ondessonk’s founders has inspired additional supporters to contribute to the fund.  St. Clair County, IL children of racial minority status and limited financial means are eligible to apply.  We are faithful to the premise that families applying for scholarship funding are in need of tuition assistance.  Please help us honor the wishes of our donors with honorable participation.  In many cases, a partnering agency is involved in referring Monsignor Fournie Scholarship recipients to  Camp Ondessonk.
