The Catholic War Veterans – Post 370 Support Camp

On Wednesday, January 6th, Tony Vrooman, Sr. Director of Communications, and Whitney Strang, Director of Development, visited with members of The Catholic War Veterans – Butz-Jobe Post 370 to provide an update on Camp Ondessonk and to accept a gift.

The group included many former campers and summer staff as well as current volunteers who were happy to hear about updates at Camp and plans for this summer.  After the presentation, Rick Schmidt, House Committee Director, presented a gift to Camp from the Post.

Named after Bertram Butz and Robert Jobe, Belleville natives who lost their lives while serving the U.S. military during World War II, Post 370 was established after World War II when six posts in Belleville consolidated.  The Butz-Jobe Post 370 is located at 3535 State Route 159, and guests are welcome to enjoy a delicious fish dinner there on any Wednesday to Sunday evening or to play Queen of Hearts on a Thursday night.

Thank you to the Catholic War Veterans – Butz-Jobe Post 370 for your service to our country and continued support of Camp Ondessonk’s mission.
