Holland Construction Outdoor Education Scholarship Shares Ondessonk with Collinsville Middle School

Thanks to the generosity of Holland Construction Services, 19 students and 4 chaperones from Collinsville Middle School had the opportunity to experience Camp Ondessonk’s Outdoor Education Program during a two-night stay in April. This unforgettable trip was made possible through a scholarship gift that funded the group’s experience, giving students access to Camp’s rich programming, natural beauty, and spirit of adventure.

Hosted in our Mini-Camp Village, the group enjoyed a taste of Camp life complete with hikes, campfires, and evenings under the stars. During their stay, students participated in adventure programming, where they were challenged to work together, face fears, and build confidence through engaging outdoor activities. From navigating rope elements to learning team-building skills, each moment helped foster growth and connection.

“The kids loved it,” shared Collinsville Middle School Principal, Brad Snow, “They are already talking about going back!”
