  • Matt and Erika Shively welcomed Gwendolyn Marie on October 4th, 2018 and look forward to the day when she can join big sister Madalyn at camp!
  • Julian Watkins welcomed Charlotte Louise Watkins on October 24th, 2018. He also has a new job doing business development for a marketing agency.
  • Amy and Scott Crean welcomed baby #2 in September, Hatie Jo. Big brother Louie is very proud of her! Scott also beat cancer in November.

  • Adrian Ziegler bought a house in September and welcomed two new puppies last year.
  • Delaney Geppert and Lauren Cooper spent winter break studying abroad in England and Italy. Lauren began nursing school.
  • Ali Brown now works for Missouri Botanical Gardens in STL as the Outreach Coordinator.
  • Carmen Cronin is now teaching Spanish and is the new assistant swim coach in Greencastle, IN
  • Nick Piazza traveled to Nepal, India, Sweden, and England for six months and upon returning home began working for Urban Harvest STL. He also recently finished the first draft of his novel, so everyone be on the lookout soon!
  • Kate Albrecht and her family are moving back to Illinois. She is earning her Ph.D. this May and will be starting as an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Illinois-Chicago in August.
  • Treva Schauss welcomed baby Joslyn Elise Smith on February 19, 2019.
  • Katy Valentine received her Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology at the University of Missouri and promptly moved to Boston with her dogs to begin her new position at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
  • Kailey LaClare returned from her semester at sea, traveling through 19 different time zones. She is graduating with her BA in International

  • Kelsey O’Shaughnessy is marrying Aaron Snoddy on July 20th, 2019.
  • Colin and Jess York welcomed baby Eloise James York November 17th, 2018. Just swoon over these cheeks!
  • John Schmiedl is living and working in Salem, Oregon as the Emergency Preparedness Health Educator for Marion County Health and Human Services. After work each day he teaches hip-hop to kids ages 5-18 at a local dance studio, where is he also part of their ballet company.
  • Noel Goding and Mary Ennis graduated from their Camp Ondessonk kitchen days and now are colleagues at the largest global nonprofit consulting firm. They are consulting on fund development and campaign strategy/management for Catholic dioceses in Austin, Texas and St. Augustine, Florida.
  • Jacqueline Fox graduated from Xavier University with her Bachelors in December and is currently finishing up her first year of Occupational Therapy graduate school.
  • Lexi Zanger is graduating in May and moving to San Antonio, Texas as a corps member/high school science teacher with Teach For America.
  • Annie Rose, Joe and Juliana Keith are welcoming a new edition to the family in July 2019.
  • Kelsey Greenwell is finishing Occupational Therapy school this year.
  • Rachel Thompson is graduating in May with her Bachelor of Recreation and Park Administration. She has accepted a position at Fitness Plus in

  • Ashley Bergman is getting married October 12th, 2019 to Byron Hays and is finishing her Master of Forestry at SIU Carbondale.
  • Maddie McHugh is marrying Galen Geffers on July 21st, 2019.
  • Meghan Glen moved back to Illinois in August and is earning her MBA at Illinois State University.
  • Megan Jones is due with baby boy number three in a few short weeks.
  • Mary Kleuh is living in Grand Rapids, MI and is graduating with her Master of Public Health in May, then finishing her last two years of medical school with clinical rotations. In addition, she is marrying Svetoslav Saev May 2nd, 2020.
  • Kelsey Walsh went on a mission trip to San Jose, Costa Rica and served over 900 people.
  • Kailey Walker is graduating with her Master of Catholic School Leadership from SLU in June.
  • Abby Sanders is living in Nashville, Tennessee and working as a part-time nurse while finishing her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program in August.
  • Tess Kilbain is graduating Law School at Northern Kentucky this May, taking the bar exam in July, and then moving to Louisville in August to live out her dream of becoming a public defender.
  • Trent Oelrich graduated from Illinois State University with his degree in HR and Spanish. He currently lives and works in St Louis as a recruiter for a staffing company.
  • Stephanie Smith will graduate with her Master of Social Work in April from the University of Southern Indiana
  • Steph Lysy is working on her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and is working at Yellowstone National Park this summer.
  • Jess Peak moved home after working at Breckenridge Ski Resort for the winter. She lives in Owensboro and is working her way to becoming a high school science teacher.
  • Amanda Bailey is living in Cincinnati, Ohio and is working as a graphic designer for a promotions company; Polar Bear Promo.
  • Becca Nation graduated from EIU with a Bachelor of Athletic Training. She will be attending Jacksonville State University in the fall as a full-time graduate assistant to receive her Master of Exercise Science.
  • Kevan O’Hanlan is living in Southeast Alaska working with an environmental advocacy non-profit where she works with youth outreach and programming. She is about to take her state EMT licensing exam.
  • Madeline Harter is finishing her last semester of undergrad and starting pharmacy school at Auburn University next fall.
  • Annie Murnane just accepted a nursing internship for the summer with the Family Birthing unit in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
  • Olivia Hammond and Joe Starkey are engaged and planning a wedding for 2020! Olivia recently graduated from nursing school and started working the in Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. They also adopted a really, really cute dog!
  • Jakob Summers is continuing to work on his undergraduate degree and has accepted his first internship at a professional theater. He will be spending the summer at Mcleod Summer Playhouse here in Carbondale.
  • Jed Buechele and his band just released their first full-length album. Check them out on Bandcamp and Spotify!
  • Beth Ziegenhorn moved to Columbia, South Carolina to run a Panera Bread on the University of South Carolina campus.
  • Matt Feeney will graduate from medical school in May and will start his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is not getting married in 2019 OR 2020, but he does enjoy listening to Jon Pardi and Randy Houser.
  • Brian Bell graduated from the University of Illinois last spring and is now commissioned as an officer in the Army. He is heading to Korea for a 12-month rotation in July.
  • Paige Daugherty moved to St. Louis and is living with fellow camp alum Mary Regan. She is starting a new position at Sacred Heart Valley as their communications coordinator.
  • Ian Standard moved to Alaska.
  • Leila Wren Ostrowski joined the Ostrowski tribe on December 17, 2018! Heepwah!
