Fall Lodge Reunion and Stable Round-up
By Whitney Strang, Director of Development
More than 80 Camp Friends gathered to serve Camp Ondessonk through the Fall Lodge Reunion and Stable Round-Up the weekend of September 23rd through 25th.
Members of the Lodge of Ondessonk & Tekakwitha were busy completing service projects including rebuilding the fire pit at the Grotto, installing new JRD belay posts, spreading mulch at the Challenge Course, deep cleaning outhouses, repairing trail work on the Echon Trail and Pine Lake Loop, and outreach to reconnect with Lodge members.
Volunteers at the Stable Round-Up Weekend worked together on projects to support Camp Ondessonk’s stable program and grounds. This year’s efforts focused on replacing stall posts at the Barn, repairing hitching posts at Durbin’s Barn, restoring posts and boards on the pasture fences, and cleaning the grounds around the hay pen.
We are thankful for the Lodge members and volunteers who contributed their time and hard work to complete these important projects!
