Fall Festivities at Camp Ondessonk

Camp Ondessonk hosted its 14^th Annual Ondessonk Trail Races and Fall Festival Saturday, October 26, 2024. These events bring together local community members, outdoor enthusiasts, and families for a full day of excitement and nature. Nestled in the scenic Shawnee National Forest, Camp provided the perfect backdrop for the day’s activities, blending the thrill of trail running with the charm of the Fall Festival.

The day kicked off with the trail races, which included a 5k Fun Run and the Manchester Trail 10k, offering something for runners of all skill levels. Our 55 participants weaved through trails that showcased Camp’s stunning canyons, forests, and pastures.

As the races came to a close, the festivities shifted to welcome Camp families and friends to the vibrant Fall Festival. Attendees were treated to a wide range of activities, including Hayrides, Archery, Handicrafts, and Pumpkin Painting. From caramel apples to freshly roasted s’mores, festivalgoers indulged in seasonal favorites while browsing handmade and locally sourced items from the local vendor market.
