CSMA Funding Helps Schools Access Outdoor Education at Camp Ondessonk

Funding received through the Diocese of Belleville’s Catholic Service and Ministry Appeal (CSMA) Fund for Ministry will help schools participate in Outdoor Education programs at Camp Ondessonk this coming spring.

These funds, allocated to the Outdoor Education Scholarship Fund, will be distributed to schools interested in bringing their students to Camp Ondessonk for a field trip or overnight experience. Depending on the specifics of the program requested, including its duration and the number of participants, applicants may receive partial or full tuition assistance.

Since the fund’s establishment in 2020, Camp Ondessonk has been able to provide scholarships to schools that otherwise would not have been able to participate due to financial constraints. This assistance has opened the doors for more students to experience Camp’s offerings, allowing Camp Ondessonk to share its mission to even more children each year.

The CSMA Fund for Ministry supports Catholic parishes, schools, groups, and organizations by funding unique programs and projects that meet special needs within the Belleville Diocese. We are deeply grateful to the members of the CSMA Fund for Ministry and to all who contributed to the fund this year. Your support is an investment in both Camp Ondessonk and those throughout the Diocese who will grow in faith through these transformative programs.
