Camp Ondessonk Mike & Becky Jennings – Dedication Through Service

Camp Ondessonk Mike & Becky Jennings – Dedication Through Service

The Jennings have long been pillars within the Ondessonk community, and this year marks a special anniversary with Mike celebrating 20 years of service, and Becky celebrating 13 years of service at Camp Ondessonk. Mike began his career at Ondessonk as an Assistant Ranger in 1994, and was promoted to Ranger in November of 1995. Becky assisted the Registrars in the summers of 1999 through 2000 until accepting the full-time Registrar position in January of 2003.

Mike and Becky met in high school and soon began dating and were married on June 4, 1984. They had their daughter Lacy soon after,  and now love to spend their free time playing with their grandchildren Logan and Emma. Both have seen many changes through the years at Camp, from the relocation of the dining hall and front office, to the remarkable changes in kids’ lives and the lives of individuals who pass through Camp O.

The Jennings are still passionate about their jobs. Mike thrives on performing a variety of work, and considers his favorite part working and building relationships with all the volunteers who come and help at Camp O. Becky loves working with families and campers, and finds special satisfaction working with campers who wouldn’t be able to attend without the help of our scholarship programs. When asked what she is most proud of at Camp Ondessonk, Becky states, “How Camp has helped mold and shape our daughter into the responsible adult she is today.”

Mike and Becky’s service to Camp Ondessonk continues to be an integral part of the growth of the Ondessonk community and the mission of Camp. It is with deep gratitude we thank them for their continued dedication and service.
