Camp Rock – Friends Rock Out at Labor Day Friends Weekend
The stage was set, the amps were plugged in, and almost 400 Camp Friends rolled into Camp Ondessonk for another unforgettable Labor Day Friends Weekend!
This year’s festivities kicked off on August 28th, as guests arrived and got settled into their units. Throughout the weekend, friends dove back into classic Summer Camp activities like Swimming, Archery, and Handicrafts, while others hit the trails on horseback or tested their courage on the High Challenge Course.
The highlight came Sunday night when Camp Friends gathered to celebrate the close of Camp Ondessonk’s 66th summer with a dinner party that truly rocked. Guests donned their best Rock attire, think band tees and lots of glitter before hitting the dance floor to live music by Wiskey Throttle, turning the Original Dining Hall into Camp’s very own concert venue.
Revived in 1987, Labor Day Friends Weekend has become a much-anticipated tradition where Ondessonk Friends and Family return to reconnect, recharge, and celebrate the spirit of Camp.
