Introducing the 2025 Lodge Officials
Camp Ondessonk’s Loyal Lodge of Ondessonk & Tekakwitha is excited to introduce 2025 Lodge Officials. These outstanding leaders bring their experiences and deep commitment to serving the Camp Community. Get to know this year’s team, their backgrounds, and their goals for the coming year.
Molly Braskich
Molly, the Senior Lodge Official, returns with a passion for continuing the work she began last year. Molly’s journey with Lodge began in 2018, and since then, she has held multiple roles, including Camper Coordinator and Chicago Council Official. Lodge Reunions and work weekends have always been special to Molly, as they allow her to stay connected to Camp despite living far away. Her leadership extends beyond Camp Ondessonk, having served as a co-rector at a Kairos, a Catholic retreat for high school juniors and seniors, and leading monthly small group bible studies in high school.
As a Senior Lodge Official, Molly plans to begin summer planning during the winter months to ensure a smooth summer, encourage Councils to meet consistently throughout the year, and enhance the Lodge experience for first-time participants. She also hopes to revisit the Lodge Ceremony for Mini-Campers with the goal of making it a more meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Maggie DuRoss
For Maggie, becoming a Lodge Official is a meaningful opportunity to give back to the place that has shaped her over the past eleven years. Her time at Camp Ondessonk, both as a camper and staff member, has provided her with the skills to support Lodge Members and work with her fellow Officials. Maggie’s past involvement with Lodge includes serving as a Worldwide Council Official, where she focused on increasing communication and engagement within the Council, particularly through virtual meetings and community-building efforts.
Maggie’s goal as a Lodge Official is to enhance communication and support across all Councils, particularly for members of the Worldwide Council who face challenges meeting in person. She aims to foster a stronger sense of community and collaboration using her experience to help Councils, regardless of distance, to stay engaged and thrive.
Emma Linn
Emma’s motivation to become a Lodge Official is also why she’s dedicated to Camp Ondessonk, to help ensure Camp remains a space where campers feel loved and accepted. As a Lodge member since 2018 and a Council Official for six years, she has consistently participated in Lodge Ceremonies, Reunions, and Work Weekends. Her leadership experience extends to her roles in student council, soccer, and yearbook club, which have all contributed to her growth as a leader.
As a Lodge Official, Emma plans to work with Councils to enhance communication and planning to provide more opportunities for Lodge members to connect and share the Camp Magic throughout the year.
Lizzy Schauster
Lizzy’s passion for Lodge comes from her appreciation for the sense of community it fosters at Camp Ondessonk and beyond. Inducted into Lodge in 2017, she has served as a Council Official of the Metro East Lodge Council since 2021, where she has facilitated fundraisers, community events, and participated in Lodge Ceremonies. Her leadership roles in high school, including student technical director and choir president, have further developed her skills in organization and teamwork.
Lizzy aims to increase year-round engagement and participation by leveraging social media to connect with Lodge Members and designing fundraisers that appeal to younger demographics. She believes her enthusiasm for growing member involvement will help strengthen the Lodge Community.
Together, the 2025 Lodge Officials are eager to serve and bring fresh energy to the Lodge program. With a focus on communication, engagement, and meaningful experiences, they are committed to making a lasting impact on Camp Ondessonk and its cherished traditions.
