The new year begins a new chapter in the chronicles of Ondessonk and a new opportunity to build on past successes. Camp history is rich, prosperous, and abundantly blessed by God.

Dan King’s entreaty to “Keep Camp in Your Life” resonates for me. Vivid memories from 67 years evoke tears, laughs, and nostalgia. Myths, legends, significant milestones, amusing and scary incidents should all be shared, celebrated, and preserved. I challenge you to follow the example of our Facebook historian, Pati Egan. Dust off your memories, as you often do, and this time record and share them. “I remember when” is a good beginning. Send an email, a snail mail or make a phone call to a Camp friend. Include Camp as well. I’ll be sharing my memories and maybe some of yours with staff this summer. I’ll be so happy to hear from all of you! Heepwah!
