The Camp Ondessonk Gala is the major fundraising event that is held in odd years. The Gala offers the opportunity for participants to re-connect with friends, bid on unique and one-of-a-kind auction items, enjoy a delicious meal, and support the mission of Camp Ondessonk.

The Camp Ondessonk Golf Benefit was introduced in 1995, when former board member, Pete Korte, created a way to assist Camp financially by hosting this popular event through his company, Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc. in Highland, Illinois. The four-person scramble Golf Benefit has raised more than $700,000 since inception. Held each year in the Fall (September or October), golfers from around the area enjoy a day on the links to support a great cause. A variety of contests include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Keep it in the Boat, Skins, Mulligans, as well as raffles, prizes, awards, lunch and beverages.

The Camp Ondessonk Trail Races and Fall Festival are held in October each year. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall colors at Camp. There is typically a 5K and 10K route, in addition to virtual races that are designed to include those who would like to participate in the race but cannot make the live event. Each participant receives a Trail Race t-shirt and the top overall male and female finisher in each race receives a medal and special recognition.
