Virtual Fall Lodge Reunion Recap
The air around Camp Ondessonk was filled with a special hum on September 25 as the Lodge Officials and Lodge Reunion Staff rushed around in final setup for the 2020 Virtual Fall Lodge Reunion. The weekend encompassed offerings that brought Lodge Members together for fellowship and learning. Friday night started with a campfire program, as everyone joined together for songs, stories, and laughs. On Saturday, participants were able to complete a variety of team building activities in the morning and learn about different ways to keep Lodge in their lives outside of summer.
With all these virtual changes, Lodge Officials were still able to host voting and review the constitution, and councils could meet to discuss the next year. Abbey, from the Gateway Council, shares that her favorite part was “getting to know everyone that was in the zoom and just being with people from camp.” Although not in person, the Lodge Community rallied together for this fabulous weekend together. As Mallary from the Tri-State Council said, Lodge, is about “being able to help Camp and my community to grow and prosper, even in hard times. It’s great to be able to stay active and keep lodge members active in the camp community year-round.” The spirit of the Lodge of Ondessonk & Tekakwitha was strong that weekend. Heepwah to the Lodge Officials and their team who found creative ways to put on a great weekend experience.
