Outdoors Summer Camp

Camp Ondessonk is an outdoors summer camp located in the Heart of the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois. Children ages 8-17 experience outdoors summer programming under a full-time staff consisting of devoted individuals with extensive experience in fields related to youth development and outdoor leadership.

Traditional Camp

This is where it all started.

For 60 years, traditional camps have been the Ondessonk favorite for kids ages 10-15 years old. Learn and perfect outdoors summer camp skills like canoeing, archery, horseback riding, and more. Mini Camp & Mini Camp Explorers

Teaching what matters most

All outdoors summer camp activities are modified to best serve the mini-camp age group. With one Ondessonk counselor for every three or four campers, mini campers receive nearly constant guidance and companionship from our caring staff. Read More
