Lodge Members Create Letter-Writing Campaign
As we continue through an unprecedented summer at Camp Ondessonk, a summer without the 3,500 children we planned to serve, the generosity of our friends is more important than ever. Every gift, no matter the amount, will help Camp Ondessonk live another year. Our mission, our tradition, and our campers are too important to fail.
A group of loyal Camp Ondessonk family members have decided to take charge to lead a third-party fundraiser to help Camp financially. Sarah Linn, a former camper and staff member, along with her daughters, Isabelle Linn, a staff member and senior lodge official, and Emma Linn, a camper and lodge member, are in the process of creating a letter-writing campaign to support Camp Ondessonk. They are creating a sample letter that will be distributed to current Lodge members, encouraging them to write a letter to their own friends, family members, and personal contacts who aren’t already associated with Camp. Lodge members should explain the positive impact that Camp has had in their lives, and ask their contacts to help Camp by making a monetary donation. They will also provide a customizable form letter for those not comfortable writing their own letter.
This mother-daughter trio realizes that reaching out to those outside of our current Camp friends is one key to sustaining and enhancing the programs that make Camp special and to be able to continue the tradition of Camp Ondessonk. Hosting or participating in a third-party fundraiser is a fun way to not only raise money for Camp Ondessonk, but also to share all of the reasons you love Camp with your friends, family, and colleagues!
