DESCRIPTION:There are many impressive waterfalls within a short hike or drive from Camp beyond Pakentuck and Phantom’s Canyon.  Learn where these hidden spots are as we tour around Southern Illinois in the Camp bus\, stopping at charming local wineries along the way.  The floor of the Shawnee Forest will be alive with color as spring wildflowers will be near full bloom.  A knowledgeable guide will explain the flowers as we seek falling water.  The Waterfalls\, Wildflowers\, & Wineries Weekend is great for any couple or group of friends looking for a spring getaway.  Guests will stay in a private room in the St. Noel Center. All meals on Saturday are provided as well as Breakfast on Sunday. No shirt or additional activities are available.  \nSOLD OUT!

Tours will leave every 30 minutes during the Open House. \nCamp Ondessonk has proudly served campers since the summer of 1959.  Ondessonk’s 983-acre site is adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest and is among the most beautiful summer camps in the United States.  The Ondessonk Experience is deliberately designed to immerse participants in a setting not often encountered by the youths of today. This traditional approach to summer camping allows participants to fully experience their surroundings in a fun\, adventurous\, and supportive environment.

DESCRIPTION:Every spring\, volunteers attend the annual Stable Round-Up Weekend to contribute their skills and labor to Camp Ondessonk’s stable program and grounds. Past projects include everything from maintaining tack and equipment\, building a new hay barn to sprucing up garden areas\, rebuilding rock walls and new trails. These weekends are invite only\, but more information can be requested by emailing stables@ondessonk.com. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who keep returning season after season to contribute expertise and hard work! Invitations will go out the beginning of March and all volunteers must RSVP.

DESCRIPTION:Spring Lodge Reunion is a service-focused experience at camp.  Reunite with friends as you help Camp Ondessonk prepare for the upcoming summer!  Lodge members will be staying in units and participating in service projects throughout the day on Saturday.  Be prepared to work hard during the day\, and enjoy the beauty of Camp with fellow Lodge members at night.  Adult supervision is provided by Camp Ondessonk summer staff. Meals provided include Breakfast\, Lunch\, and Dinner on Saturday as well as Breakfast on Sunday. Please bring appropriate work clothes along with work gloves and closed-toed shoes for the work project.  Mass will be held at Camp on Saturday evening.  No shirt or additional activities are available. \nFREE! \nRegister Now: Online or on paper \nCheck-in on Friday between 7-9 pm in the Trading Post.  Check out is on Sunday between 10:00-11:00 at the covered bridge.

DESCRIPTION:Camp Ondessonk sets aside one weekend each year for this specialty weekend designed for the guys.  For Father-Son Weekend 2022\, men are invited to join us for a weekend of tromping through the woods\, spending evenings around the campfire\, and sharing a love of the outdoors with the boys in their lives. Join us for gaga\, archery\, canoeing\, Mass on Saturday night\, and other camp activity options including trail rides or an exciting trip down our zip line! Ages 3 and under are free.   All meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday are provided as part of the weekend fee. T-shirt included in the price.  Adventure activities (challenge course) are available for an additional fee.  Must be 10 years old and weigh under 225lbs for challenge course activities. \nRegistration Deadline: April 20\, 2022 \nUnit Rate: $96/person \nSt. Noel Rate: $148/person \nRegistration is now closed for this event.
